Pinellas County Canvassing Board to Certify Election Results |
Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Deborah Clark announces that the Pinellas County Canvassing Board will meet at 9 a.m. Thursday, April 21 at the Supervisor of Elections Office, 13001 Starkey Rd. in Largo.
The Board will canvass provisional ballots, certify the April 19 Municipal Runoff Election results and conduct a post-election test of the tabulation equipment.
The Board will also randomly draw the race and precinct for the post-election audit and conduct the audit as required by Florida Statute 101.591 and Rule 1S-5.026, F.A.C.
State law requires that the post-election audit be completed within seven days of the certification of election results. The race must be selected randomly, and 2 percent of precincts for that race must be selected randomly.
The purpose of the audit is to ensure that the voting equipment used in the election accurately counted votes.
All Canvassing Board meetings are open to the public and will be held at the Supervisor of Elections Office, 13001 Starkey Rd., Largo in the Starkey Lakes Corporate Center.
