Supervisor of Elections will mail new Voter Information Cards |
In order to save tax dollars, Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Deborah Clark will mail voter registration confirmation postcards in lieu of Voter Information Cards until the state’s redistricting process is complete.
“The main purpose of the Voter Information Card is to provide voters with their current voting information,” Clark said. “However, precinct numbers, voting districts and polling places may change because 2012 is a year of redistricting.”
After congressional and legislative districts are final, the Supervisor of Elections will redraw precinct lines within those districts. These precinct lines require approval by the Board of County Commissioners.
New Voter Information Cards will be mailed to ALL registered voters this summer, after all district and precinct lines are approved.
